{"id":372,"date":"2023-11-15T13:43:14","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T13:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/libmanandiocese.org\/?p=372"},"modified":"2023-12-05T08:32:48","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T08:32:48","slug":"clergy-retreat-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libmanandiocese.org\/?p=372","title":{"rendered":"Clergy Retreat 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Libmanan Clergy Gathered for Five-day Retreat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background:linear-gradient(135deg,rgb(255,245,203) 0%,rgb(182,227,212) 31%,rgb(51,167,181) 100%)\">Priests of the Diocese of Libmanan, forty one of them who were able to be present, gathered at the Mary Help of Christians House of Spirituality in Calaca (Batangas) for their annual retreat last November 6-10, 2023.\u00a0 The retreat facilitator was Fr. Ren\u00e9 Lagaya, SDB, classmate of Bishop J. Rojas at UST between 1977 and 1982.\u00a0 The retreat consisted of <em>lectiones divinae<\/em> that pondered on the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Virgin, Spouse, and Mother and paralleled by inputs on Christ\u2019s threefold office (so-called <em>munera<\/em>) shared by the priests: the <em>munus docendi<\/em> \u2013 the duty to teach, based on Christ&#8217;s role as <em>Prophet<\/em>; the <em>munus sanctificandi<\/em> \u2013 the duty to sanctify, based on Christ&#8217;s role as <em>Priest<\/em>; and the <em>munus regendi<\/em> \u2013 the duty to shepherd, based on Christ&#8217;s role as <em>King<\/em>.\u00a0 Combining profound insights and humour, Fr.
