Bishop Jose R. Rojas Jr. (b. 1956)


Bishop Jose R. Rojas Jr. was born in Cebu City, on Aug. 18, 1956. He was ordained a priest on March 29, 1981, and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Caceres on July 25, 2005. His episcopal ordination was on Sept. 15, 2005. On May 19, 2008, he was appointed Second Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan. He was installed Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan on July 2, 2008. On March 25, 2009, he was installed first Diocesan Bishop of Libmanan after the Territorial Prelature of Libmanan was elevated to the status of a Diocese on the same day.

Bp. Prospero N. Arellano (1937-2014) +

Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan, 1989-2008


Bishop Arellano, D.D. was born in San Roque, Bombon, Camarines Sur, on January 17, 1937.  He finished his theological studies at the Holy Rosary Seminary. He was ordained priest at the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral, on March 30, 1963 by the late Archbishop Pedro Santos, D.D.

Prior to his appointment as first Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan, he served as Rector of  the Holy Rosary Major Seminary and Parish Priest of Pili, Camarines Sur and Our Lady of Fatima  Parish in San Isidro, Iriga City.              

Bishop Arellano was appointed Bishop- Prelate of Libmanan on December 9, 1989 and was ordained on March 19, 1990. He retired as Bishop-Prelate of Libmanan on May 19, 2008. He died on February 1, 2014 at the age of 77.
