Feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta

Following the decree released by the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments (DDW-DS) on December 24, 2024, the celebration of the feast day of St. Teresa of Calcutta (better known as Mother Teresa), Foundress of the Missionaries of Charity, was inscribed in the General Roman Calendar. According to the same decree, said feast day is to be celebrated yearly as an optional liturgical memorial on September 5, the date of her death in 1997.
