The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Office on Bioethics has formulated its plan of action following the assumption into office of its newly constituted members on December 1, 2025.
The planning process was conducted during the meeting of the Office members held on January 23, 2026. During the meeting, members discussed priorities, strategic directions, and key programs in response to emerging bioethical issues and concerns.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the new composition of the Office to align its vision and initiatives with the pastoral mission of the CBCP, particularly in addressing moral, scientific, and social challenges that affect human life and dignity.
Members also reviewed current bioethical concerns and identified areas for research, education, and collaboration with dioceses, academic institutions, and other partners. The Office reaffirmed its commitment to providing sound moral guidance grounded in Catholic teaching and to assisting the bishops, clergy, and faithful in navigating complex bioethical questions.
