Repeating the stipulation of the 1981 Declaration, the 1983 Declaration concludes by stipulating
that the Holy See does not allow any individual bishop nor any bishops’ conference to permit
Catholics to join masonic lodges.
The list of Christian sects and denominations is extremely extensive that attempting to cover and
scrutinize each and every one of them is likely doomed to failure. Their number has simply
exponentially grown in recent years that it has become doubly hard, if not impossible to trace each and

Bishop Jose R. Rojas Jr., D.D. was born on Aug. 18, 1956, in Cebu City. He was ordained a priest on March 29, 1981, and was appointed auxiliary bishop of Caceres on July 25, 2005.
